Guyz i think having BB rather than Lappy gives u much more connectivity
Smot aims to provide 24*7 connectivity n by providing lappy the purpose is still not meant
U should be able to check ur mails when u r on a move and for which bb is the only solution
BB is even a USP for SMOT
So its better u ppl go with BB

can you let us know whether do we have to mandatorily check mails always (even while travelling). Is that not enough if we check mails twice or thrice a day?.

but Smot wants us to give BB to be always conneced and Only BB can serve the purpose

From my understanding, Director Dr.Narasiman feels that wen u start workin @ managerial level and as u scale higher grades, there always exists a need for checking mails very often... i tink u ll agree with this... so smot wants to nurture students to that level...it goes along with SMOTs USP of "Career ready managers"... Smot feels its better to build tis habit in students from now... and moreover even @ smot, u need it badly since timetable, guest lecture related mails can jump in2 ur inbox nytime and faculty also might mail u ny time regarding assignments ,etc and also  u can effortlessly send/receive mails 4m tis small device & since it has a Qwerty style keyboard, using ta keypad is easy...

and believ me... Blackberry is lot useful... u can open ppt,excel, word & pdf files easily..and most importantly it is readable... atleast 90% of my batch students felt like Blackberry is useless before they started using it... now u can find the change... each & everyone s so obsessed with blackberry tat r nt ready 2 live wth it...

Thats True Balaji
When i got my BB i found it very difficult using it
But now if u see most of my mails i send from BB
i check my time table from BB
I even check ppt's and all applications
Its very user friendly
Bcoz of BB i m able to stay always online

Well, i too agree that Blackberry is very very useful.. Laptop can't be carried with u 24/7 while blackberry can be carried..
I went out of station before the 3rd semester started.. n i have to say, i found it very useful during my trip.. One main reason being thru blackberry i was connected to the server all day long.. n i didn't miss even one single mail of mine that my inbox revd..
We had to update our blogs from time to time.. n if it was not for the mails that i checked in my blackberry for the reminders sent by the placement committee, i wud have forgot all about the work i had to do during my holz.. N not only this, i was in touch with my friends from Smot thruout the trip discussing what needs to be done, what needs to be updated, etc.. this way the blackberry helped me a lot.. n am sure guys, having a blackberry is not a bad option at all..

even i went to my native in my 2nd sem holidays for around 20 days
By having BB i was able to receive imp mails
If u observe i have sent all my Playcomm mails thru BB
It helped me a lot
I was able to chat with all my friends instead of calling them for silly things
It was like i was in chennai

i agree wit wat both smriti and vinay say....even i found it very useful during my holidays...moreover bb is compact,easy to use....as u knw u don need any internet connection as such 2 get u connected...i personally feel bb wud b more useful for v guyz 2 chek our mails....

Many other Mobile vendors are coming with models like BB
Its better be part of Technology
